Ingredients
Scale

- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- Salt and pepper
- 4 to 6 sandwich buns

- Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and season generously with salt and pepper.
- In a medium bowl, mix barbecue sauce, chopped onion, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and yellow mustard.

- Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix with the remaining sauce. Let it soak for an additional 30 minutes on low heat.
- Assemble the sandwiches by piling the pulled pork onto the buns and drizzling with extra barbecue sauce if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier flavor, consider adding jalapeños or spicy barbecue sauce.
- To enhance flavor, marinate the pork shoulder overnight in barbecue sauce.
- Experiment with different types of buns and toppings for variety.
