  • 100 g (2/3 cup) golden raisins
  • 50 g (1/3 cup) chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 60 g (1/4 cup) unsalted butter (for glaze)
  • 50 g (1/4 cup) brown sugar (for glaze)
  • 12 tablespoons milk or cream (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients and prepare the apples by peeling, coring, and dicing them.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and milk.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined. Fold in the diced apples, golden raisins, and walnuts.
