Description

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • 115 g (½ cup) unsalted butter, softened
  • 200 g (1 cup) brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 120 ml (½ cup) milk
  • 200 g (about 2 cups) fresh plums, pitted and chopped
  • 100 g (1 cup) chopped hazelnuts
  • 80 g (⅓ cup) powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Prepare the plums by washing, halving, and chopping them.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients in a medium bowl.
  3. Cream the butter and brown sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla to the creamed mixture, then mix in the milk and dry ingredients.
  5. Fold in the chopped plums and hazelnuts.
  6. Pour the batter into a prepared cake pan and bake for 40-45 minutes.
  7. Prepare the spiced glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  8. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cake and let it set before slicing.
