- 115 g (½ cup) unsalted butter, softened
- 200 g (1 cup) brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 120 ml (½ cup) milk
- 200 g (about 2 cups) fresh plums, pitted and chopped
- 100 g (1 cup) chopped hazelnuts
- 80 g (⅓ cup) powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Prepare the plums by washing, halving, and chopping them.
- Mix the dry ingredients in a medium bowl.
- Cream the butter and brown sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla to the creamed mixture, then mix in the milk and dry ingredients.
- Fold in the chopped plums and hazelnuts.
- Pour the batter into a prepared cake pan and bake for 40-45 minutes.
- Prepare the spiced glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Drizzle the glaze over the warm cake and let it set before slicing.
